Heroin Rehab in San Diego
The next phase of addiction recovery takes place at our heroin rehab center in San Diego. Most clients will transition to our inpatient facility, where they live on-site at our treatment center with other clients who are working toward achieving recovery.
This program allows you to dedicate your entire energy to your recovery, find a group of peers to support you through the process, and have around-the-clock access to addiction professionals.
The treatments and therapies at Pacific Bay Recovery focus on providing the best in evidence-based methods for achieving a lasting recovery. This includes therapies such as:
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a time-tested talk therapy approach that helps people address negative patterns of behavior and thoughts that can lead to heroin use. The core belief of CBT is that thoughts, behaviors, and emotions all affect one another. By changing the way a person thinks, you can change the way they feel and behave.
CBT is one of the most effective forms of talk therapy for treating substance use disorders and is used in both individual and group therapy formats.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
DBT shares the same fundamental beliefs as CBT but incorporates the elements of mindfulness and acceptance, which makes this style of therapy much more approachable to some people. Sometimes, you cannot control your thoughts, but you can learn to accept them and take healthy actions anyway.
DBT is a highly structured program, with specific skills-training groups and individual therapy appointments throughout the week. DBT is effective at helping people overcome heroin addiction and is the leading choice for many people new to recovery.
Dual-Diagnosis Treatment
Often, people living with heroin addictions are also dealing with co-occurring mental health disorders. Whether it’s depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, or post-traumatic stress disorder, dual-diagnosis treatment is designed to treat both conditions simultaneously.
Dual-diagnosis treatment may involve both talk therapy approaches as well as meeting with a psychiatrist for medication management. By treating both substance use and mental health simultaneously, dual-diagnosis treatment can substantially increase the likelihood of long-term recovery.
Outdoor Activities
Recovery is about more than therapies and treatments alone. People also need to learn how to enjoy their new lives without substances. Our outdoor activities aim to introduce our clients to new and enjoyable experiences to make your recovery worthwhile.
